Due to the Covid-19 Virus, on direction from the Department of Education and Skills Thurles CTC will be closed until Monday 20th April. We will update our website and social media platforms to ensure both Parents and Learners are kept informed.
Thurles Community Training Centre is co-funded by the Irish Government, the European Social Fund and the Youth Employment Initiative as part of the ESF Programme for Employability Inclusion and Learning 2014-2020.
Our Mission Statement
It is the mission of the Centre to provide a safe and supportive environment where our participants can learn, train, plan, work, acquire basic skills, make decisions and develop their full potential. It is our aim to contribute to this in an holistic manner, while in an environment of mutual respect which will also enhance the development of the staff and stakeholders.
Our Client group is largely from the local area surrounding Thurles – we accept applications from both male and female between the ages of 16 and 21 that meet our entry requirements.
Role of Thurles CTC
The Centre is seen as providing a service which complements those put in place by the statutory agencies in terms of primary, secondary and third-level education.
